Viré Clessé


Apppearance : bright with a pale gold hue with green tints
Nose : notes of flower of hawthorn, white peach, apricot, citrus and honey
Palate : expressive, elegant, bright and fresh with a nice minerality and citrus notes
Serve : between 12-14°C
Best enjoyed : within 1-2 years
Food-wine pairings : white meat in a sauce, steam fish or in a sauce
Recommended dishes : milling sole with steamed potatoes

Origin

The Viré Clessé AOC is the 1st Village Appellation of remarkable terroirs in the Mâcon Village AOC. It is a young and authentic cru based on the hills of the North of Mâcon. The feet of chardonnay have found here a ground suitable for their expression.
Appellation of 415 hectares, 100% Chardonnay.

Vinification

Very short skin maceration which varies according to the vintages and the grapes used in order to extract aromatic potential without adversely affecting the quality of the musts. Temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation is used to preserve the wine’s varietal and aromatic qualities along with its structure and length.
