The Saint Joseph AOC is one of the largest appellation areas in the Northern Rhône. The temperate climate and south-facing exposure of its slopes on the right bank of the River Rhône provide St Joseph with ideal conditions for the cultivation of the Syrah grape.
After a long pre-fermenation maceration to extract the aromatic compounds from the skins, vinification is conducted at a controlled temperature. 3-5 months ageing allows the tannins to soften and gives the wine its deliciously spicy and silky character.
